Shark Fishing Charter (up to 4 Passengers)

The day will start out before sunrise where you will be met by the captain and first mate. After a quick briefing of the safety equipment and operation of the head we will depart Sesuit Harbor heading north toward the tip of Provincetown. If the conditions are good the trip takes approximately 50 minutes. Once we clear the tip of Provincetown we will head to the east side of Stellwagon Banks to the fishing grounds (it may take between 45 minutes to an hour to arrive at our fishing location depending on conditions and location of the fish).Upon arriving at our location we will drop our chum buckets into the water. The first mate will then show all anglers the proper use of all fishing equipment on board. You will be shown how to operate the lever drag reels, and how to set the hooked bait in the water. There will also be the task of cutting chunks of frozen bait to help attract the sharks. After the lines are set we will assign tasks for each person on deck so there is no confusion upon hook up. With our explanation of all the equipment and procedures you will find it very easy and enjoyable to experience the thrill of the catch when the action starts. When a shark is brought boat side we will cut the steel leader releasing the shark. We will allow the customers to retain a single Maco or Thresher shark that is 54” or larger. All other sharks will be released .Once we attract the sharks to our area there are usually a number of sharks hooked during the course of the day. The only problem we tend to encounter is if a school of dog sharks come into our slick. There is an overabundance of dog sharks in the area because of federal protection. If this occurs we may need to move to a different location. While fishing on most occasions you will see whales, dolphins, basking sharks as well as many other forms of sea life. Most customers are just as impressed with the abundance of sea life they see as the fishing experience. It will surely be a trip to remember.

All rods and reels will be provided. We use Penn Lever drag reels 80’s with stand up butts. All lures, bait, terminal tackle, and chum is provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you would like, but you must first get prior approval from the captain. We will take no responsibility for any damage or loss to any equipment you bring on board.

All shark fishing is regulated by the NMFS and all rules regarding equipment and catch limits will be strictly enforced. You may view the rules at: https://hmspermits.noaa.gov/default.asp

We will take digital pictures of your party, trip, and catch and send you a disc of the pictures free of charge.
